Still:
Remaining in place or at rest; motionless; stationary subdued or low in sound; hushed; free from turbulence or commotion; peaceful; tranquil; calm
Life:
The condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects. The animate existence or period of animate existence of an individual. The general or universal condition of human existence
Photography is the most catholic (with a small c) of the arts and forcing this universal medium into even the simple classifications of “Still Life” leaves the field wide open for interpretation. It is simple yet at the same time complex. The work in this exhibition displays a wide range of ideas and interpretation.
