Letter from the Board of Directors on the closing of the Center.
As we reach the end of 2024, the Center of Fine Art Photography celebrates 20 years of exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and, most importantly, building a fantastic community of photographic storytellers who have become inspirations and friends. We are so proud of the significant achievements reached over the years, with a focus on creativity and community, human rights, and important issues.

We are using this time of celebration to explore new personal and professional horizons. After a difficult number of years with the pandemic and shifting priorities of the Fort Collins arts community, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations at the Center at the end of January 2025. We are so grateful to all the artists, supporters, and contributors who made the Center a unique organization. We could not have done it without you. We are excited for the future and all the possibilities ahead.

Of course, none of this would have happened without our marvelous Executive Director and dear friend Hamidah Glasgow guiding the way. She has been a beacon of inspiration and a champion of authenticity and bravery in the photo world. As we all move on to other projects, We know whichever endeavor she chooses next will be just as inspiring.

Our website will remain online for two years as an archive of this success. We invite you to visit the artists' online exhibitions and connect or reconnect with your community. Unfortunately, these physical spaces are becoming fewer and fewer, but people who imprint on your hearts and minds will remain. That is the Center we ask you to carry with you going forward.
