STATEMENT

What makes a family? Itʼs complicated, but youʼll find 47 artistsʼ versions of this varied idea in the Family exhibition. The juror, Kate Ware, is one of the most respected photography curators in the country and this exhibition is a realization of her vision of Family. There is an image of a Roller Derby woman at home with her family, images about traditional family life and not so traditional. The exhibition, right in time for the holidays, is glimpse inside the pain, joy, love, and loss that make up families of all kinds.
