Artist Talk: Shayla Blatchford, Presentation: Dr. Phillida A. Charley | Friday, 11/8, 5:30 – 7:30 pm


Diné artist Shayla Blatchford, a featured artist in the A Thousand Beautiful Lies exhibition, will be offering a rare opportunity to engage with her work, The Anti-Uranium Mining Mapping Project, through an artist talk. This will be followed by a presentation of groundbreaking research on the health effects of uranium mining and milling on the Navajo Nation by Dr. Phillida A. Charley (Diné). A community conversation will follow, providing a unique chance to interact with these esteemed individuals.

We extend a warm welcome to people from all walks of life to attend the evening event. This is a space for learning, sharing, and empowerment.

Free and open to the public.

Friday, November 8th, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
