Description:
Enhance
your skills as
a photographer
of the human form
during this three-day
workshop conducted
by Kim Weston.
You will work with
experienced models
in both indoor
and outdoor settings
in the foot hills
of the Colorado
Rockies.

throughout the world.
As the grandson of
Edward Weston, and
the son of Cole Weston,
Kim’s photographic
skill and creativity
is deeply seated in
the family tradition
of creating remarkable
fine art photography.

Friday: August 1st - Meet and Greet and portfolio show. 4:30 - 6:00 pm
- You'll get a chance to meet the models and the other photographers and begin to establish a rapport with each other. Kim will talk about how the workshop will progress and about
some of his work.
- Following our initial meeting, all of the participants are invited to attend the reception for the Artful Nude Exhibition, immediately following in the Center's adjacent gallery. Kim was the juror for the exhibit.
Saturday:
- 8:15 am depart from the Center for the workshop setting, arriving about 9:00 am
- morning shooting
- lunch (provided) on site
- review session some of the digital work
- afternoon shoot until about 3:30 pm
- depart for Fort Collins
- dinner (on your own)
Sunday:
- 8:15 am depart from the Center for the workshop setting, arriving about 9am morning shooting
- lunch (provided) on site
- review session some of the digital work
- afternoon shoot until about 4:30 pm (departures out of DIA prior to 8:00 pm will be very tight)
Participants
will get the opportunity
to photograph nude
figures during two
consecutive days.
This allows time to
get comfortable working
with the figure models
and gives you another
opportunity to photograph
what you might have
missed on the first
day.
The
class size is kept
small with good model
- student ratio. On
the premises there
will be several areas
indoors and outdoors
locations available
for your photography,
providing a maximum
of time, space and
privacy. One-on-one
time with models can
easily be arranged.
Participants
are encouraged to
bring a portfolio
of their work for
viewing Friday evening.
Five to seven matted
prints is recommended.
Any size camera, film
or digital is good
for this class.
Students
should bring their
own film and equipment.
This workshop is open
to all levels of experience
and to film and digital
cameras.**
Register early space
is limited. Typically
there is one model
for every three photographers.
All
participants are expected
to work in a professional
manner. Any participant
behaving in an inappropriate
manner will be asked
to leave the workshop.
There will be no refund.
** Prerequisites:
participants must
have thorough knowledge
of working with their
camera and basic understanding
of composition and lighting.
Workshop time does
not allow time for
assisting participants
with camera operation.
