Black and White

The Center for Fine Art Photography is pleased to announce the juror's selections for the Black and White exhibition. Congratulations to the artists whose photographs were selected.

The images were selected by Andrea Modica who is an internationally renowned fine art and assignment photographer and educator. She has been awarded a Fulbright-Hays Grant, a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship, an Aaron Siskind Foundation Grant, and most recently, an Anonymous Was a Woman Award. Her work is in the permanent collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, NY; the Whitney Museum of Art, New York, NY; the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY; the George Eastman House, Rochester, NY; the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; the SF MoMA, San Francisco, CA; and the Biblioteque Nationale, Paris, France, among others. She currently lives in Philadelphia, PA, where she is a professor in the Photography Program at Drexel University. She received an MFA from the Yale School of Art and a BFA from SUNY Purchase.

Black and White is on display in the Center's online gallery and physical gallery from August 27 – September 25, 2010 with artists' and public reception on September 3 from 6-9pm.
